Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: MaJoC the Filk Date: 25 Jun 25 - 12:55 PM You're right, Stilly, though I *think* I got the information by following a lead --- Gotcha: Ruina montium, linked from the Pascal's Barrel reference. Is that the basic information you were after? |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 25 Jun 25 - 12:22 PM I've been looking around YouTube this morning for an old lecture by an old guy that I'm sure gnu originally shared with us years ago. To do with how gravity fed water can create great pressure, but it wasn't a lecture about hydroelectric dams. It was on a much smaller scale. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Donuel Date: 25 Jun 25 - 11:01 AM So far all our deep space probes and Mars rovers have used radioisotope electric generators. The next generation of electric generators will be these toroidal plasma electric generators, which are, candidly, more reverse-engineered technology than not. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Donuel Date: 23 Jun 25 - 08:04 PM Vera Rubin is FINALLY honored as one of the most important astronomers of our times. https://www.npr.org/2025/06/23/nx-s1-5355034/vera-c-rubin-observatory-first-images |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Donuel Date: 23 Jun 25 - 07:14 PM A large generator would ionize the air around it in a bright light field, which could be insulated against... somehow. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Donuel Date: 23 Jun 25 - 07:03 PM I'm lucky to just spell toroidal but the temps are not like those of fusion. Plasma is hot but not impossibly hot in such small amounts. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Rapparee Date: 23 Jun 25 - 11:07 AM And the temperature of the reaction? |
|
Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Donuel Date: 23 Jun 25 - 07:03 AM Opposite-spinning toroidal plasma creates an electrodynamic gravity repulsion that also generates massive amounts of electricity in a very small generator. We all could have one if it wasn't for oil company repression, |

Subject: RE: All in the family part 4 From: Donuel Date: 22 Jun 25 - 07:03 PM Boy, the way Bing Crosby played golf that made his driver fade Guys like me we had it made Those were the days Didn't need abortion fate ev'rybody pulled his weight gee our Oldsmobile ran great Those were the days And you knew who you were then girls were girls and men were men Mister we could use a man like Gen'ral Jackson again People seemed to be content fifty dollars paid the rent freaks lived in a circus tent Those were the days Take a little Sunday spin go to watch the Yankees win or have yourself a lynching day where white folks wore a big grin those were the days Hair was short and skirts were long Kate Smith really sold a song I know exactly what went wrong Those were the days The Klan had a really nifty plan Everybody understands what their place is in this land Those were the days Now that UFOs are real What's the big fat hairy deal They've been here all along Those were the days. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bei mir bist do schön From: Donuel Date: 15 Jun 25 - 03:54 PM Of all the goys I've known, and I've known some When I first met you, you were loathsome And when you came down the escalator This new world became as old as yourself You're really swell-headed, and ignorant Deserving expressions that really fit you And so I've racked my brain, hoping to explain All the things that you do to me My dear Mister Trump, with small hands and a stump My dear Mister Trump, you are a grump My dear Mister Trump, again I'll explain I mean you're the least fair in the land u will never understand |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Rapparee Date: 13 Jun 25 - 10:59 AM I trekked every square millimeter of it. I couldn’t go above 15,000 feet of elevation however. Overall it was a good trip, much of it spent under the Dark Skies of the NP. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Donuel Date: 13 Jun 25 - 07:01 AM Isn't the Great Salt Lake puddle part of the Great Basin? |
|
Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 09 Jun 25 - 10:47 PM The Great Basin? That's a rather broad swath of the western US even for a swathbuckler like you. Did you visit a particular portion of it? |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Rapparee Date: 09 Jun 25 - 10:20 PM Mom continues! She lives, and I have returned from the Great Basin. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Donuel Date: 08 Jun 25 - 08:25 PM Black hole technology makes for interesting sci-fi grist but I favor ultra high voltage engines that deal with plasma electrodynamics in a toroidal fashion. Tesla and dozens of inventors would agree that ultimate electric power generation has remarkable side benefits. The powers that be on Earth have dealt with those inventors with extreme prejudice. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 06 Jun 25 - 04:26 PM Beggars can't be choosers - someone interested enough in the subject matter (wide / deep / shallow / profane) of these threads to keep them going is rare these days. Amos and Little Hawk/Chongo were big players back in the day. There are quite a few notables still around but who probably never drop in any more. You can see fragments of the original MOAB but you find them by searching on the contributor - backtrack to their past posts and open any of them they shared on MOAB. It's an archaeological process these days. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: MaJoC the Filk Date: 04 Jun 25 - 12:34 PM The chop-off limit for overlong threads is somewhere between 500 and 700, but I don't know quite where. I'm attempting to head off the vanishment (of the Part 3 thread) before it happens, ol' bean. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: Donuel Date: 03 Jun 25 - 03:32 PM What are you trying to hoist? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Your intention can help address issues like high blood pressure. A little pill is better than a stroke. |

Subject: RE: BS: MOAB's Daughter (of all BS) part 4 From: MaJoC the Filk Date: 03 Jun 25 - 08:30 AM Refresh, to hoist above Part 3. |
