Subject: Obit: Bob Watson From: MoorleyMan Date: 04 Jun 25 - 05:43 PM This news received earlier today from Bob's daughter and son: >> Sadly I am writing to let you know that our Dad, Bob Watson, passed away after a short illness on Saturday 31st May. 86 good years and many happy memories, he lived independently until the last few days just as he would have wanted. We are conscious that we may not have met a number of Dad's friends and we may not have found contact details for everyone. So feel free to pass this news on. For those in the folk and sea shanty communities we would love it if you would sing one of his songs together when you next meet. We will send an update with funeral details shortly for those of you who may wish to or be able to attend. Very best regards, Emma and Luke Watson<< RIP, Bob. |

Subject: RE: 2025 Obit: Bob Watson From: MoorleyMan Date: 09 Jun 25 - 07:57 PM Correction and addition to the above information: The Old Ports of Call album mentioned was actually by Andy Kenna, who performs a collection of Bob Watson songs - it is not a collection of traditional sea shanties.
