Another major hero of my (long ago) teenage years has passed.
Brilliant composer/lyricist and harmonist, and like with so many others, introduced me to and fuelled my love for, the joy of singing harmonies.
Vale, Brian.

The Beach Boys were part of the soundtrack to my giddy youth gone. Like you, R-J, their music introduced me to so much.

My brother and I loved their Hot Rod songs too and I tagged along with his efforts in that field (difficult "hobby" to have in this day and age, LoL!!)
Also loved their surfing songs of course, but lived pretty far from the beach - and anyway, I was a lousy swimmer, haha!!
Didn't stop us knowing all the words to the BB songs though :)

refresh

Can't believe there are so few posts regarding the (albeit flawed) Diamond Genius of this Music Icon.

Here are a few posts from some of his peers :

I note that at 7:13, my fave Steve Perry (of Journey fame), also commemorates the late Sly Stone.

Don't Stop Believing!!!!
