Subject: Obit: Sly Stone (Sly & the Family Stone), June From: rich-joy Date: 11 Jun 25 - 08:01 PM Sly has left us too. Okay, like many, he had some drug issues but I loved his music and he should at the very least be remembered for the first "multi-racial, multi-gender, multi-genre" band. This man and his family band managed the balancing act that is pop music for a while, and their success lives on in the music of many others after them. And they made a lot of people happy -- including me. |
