Subject: RIP Mick Relphs From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 24 Jun 25 - 10:45 AM Mick Ralphs (Mott the Hoople, Bad Company) has died at 81 after a long illness. I only knew him from his appearances at Jagz Ascot in his later Mick Ralphs Blues Band 2011 until his illness. A fine blues guitarist. RtS |

Subject: RE: RIP Mick Ralphs From: Stilly River Sage Date: 24 Jun 25 - 11:30 AM From CNN Mick Ralphs, founding member of Bad Company and Mott the Hoople, dies at 81 Born in Stoke Lacy, Herefordshire, England, Ralphs began playing blues guitar as a teenager, and in his early 20s in 1966, he co-founded the Doc Thomas Group. In 1969, the band would become Mott the Hoople, a name taken from the title and title character of a 1966 novel by Willard Manus. Read the rest on the site. |
