Subject: half length tenor recorder From: Mo the caller Date: 29 Aug 25 - 08:18 AM Someone in the Spa at Whitby was playing a short fat instrument that he said was a tenor recorder. Anyone know anything about them. I find my normal length Tenor a bit too much of a stretch to play fast enough. |

Subject: RE: half length tenor recorder From: Jack Campin Date: 29 Aug 25 - 11:50 AM Over the normal range, it sounds much like an Aulos Robin 211A keyless - i.e. not as much guts as a full length one. The attraction is that the twisted bore means you can close the bell with your right thumb and you have a lot more high notes available. I haven't seen a fingering chart though. |
