Could anybody kindly provide a translation, please? Google Translate's 'tell my base I'm safe' makes that whole AI thing kind of unreliable. I've been in love with this song from the moment I heard it (performed by Lá Lugh, no less) but not knowing what the lyrics actually mean takes a lot of craic out of it.

The tune is not on abcnotation.com or at The Session, but if you go to YouTube, there are two videos of it, and maybe people could transcribe it.

It might be on some other Irish music site, but I am not up to date on those.
