Subject: RE: BS: Dick Cheney obit From: Stilly River Sage Date: 04 Nov 25 - 10:23 PM He and Karl Rove were almost as insidious as Newt Gingrich in that era. And they all look baby-faced compared to the criminal class who are in the ranks around Trump now. Cheney in the end endorsed Harris, he was so appalled by Trump and the January 6 coup attempt. His last political act was to appear and speak in support of his daughter Lynn Cheney, who lost her seat after Trump had her primaried after the January 6 hearings. |

Subject: BS: Dick Cheney obit From: Donuel Date: 04 Nov 25 - 06:57 AM Dick Cheney died at 84. As a political scientist his first gov. job at 24 was working for Donald Rumsfeld and in 6 years was Ford's chief of staff. He and his daughter both endorsed Harris for President. As Vice President to Bush 43 he held closed-door meetings with oil companies to begin fracking the United States, which has released so much methane it has accelerated the greenhouse effect on Earth. His legacy is complicated but he was a man shaped by the forces around him. |
