I am very happy to announce that, after something like twenty years of disappointment with Google and DuckDuckGo, we finally have a Ballad Index search engine that really works: You can search any field of the database, or you can search the whole thing, and it will actually find what you look for. Or at least what you tell it to look for. :-)

At least, we think it does. David and I have tried it, and once I get my queries set up properly, it finds what I think it should find. But I have the problem of knowing pretty much what I'm looking for. :-) It may not work so well for someone who doesn't have that knowledge.

So if any of you would like to try it out and see how it works for you, let me know and I'll let you play around.
