I'm trying to track down a song from childhood that I can sing clearly but can't identify. It has a bouncy, catchy melody. The lyric I remember is:

"We're goin' home, we're goin' home / Every son of a gun of a one of us knows we're goin' home"

It could be from Buck Private's Come Home, a 1947 movie where someone sings "Every son of a gun of a one of us knows we're going to bed." I found a soundbite from one website (if you're not tech savvy, I wouldn't go there, as malicious ads abound, but the link is as here -- note: file will download).
