The link at the top of each page labelled Record Shop directs to a site at the address camscomusic.com. Unfortunately the website at this address looks exactly like much of the casino-related spam that we are often squashing at a different forum, which I moderate (permies.com, if anyone’s interested).

My guess is that this used to be a genuine page, but the site went down and the domain got sold to this same gambling-related organization responsible for the spam over at Permies… I wonder if it’s time to retire this link?

That was the beloved Camsco shop that people used for getting Mudcat music and a lot of other music. Checking on the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, for many years that link at Camsco was set to redirect back to the Mudcat home page, but it changed recently when the domain name was purchased. It is now lost to us as a music site.

https://web.archive.org/web/20150207031003/https://camscomusic.com/ shows that the last time there was any Camsco business going on (captured in an Internet Archive screen shot) was February of 2015.

The site changed a bit over the years (here is a day in 2011).

There is no point in changing that link to a historic view using the Wayback Machine because anyone landing there will be unable to shop for music.
