An old friend used to sing a slightly different version, it had lines like:
Rambling kid why don't you settle down? The song ran through a variety of other places, many of which I had lived....in my naivette I thought it had been written for me.
Years later asking her about it....she could not recall its existance....the paintings I had done for her were likewise gone. |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: Rambling Boy From: Joe Offer Date: 30 Jan 00 - 12:06 AM I remember that one, Garg - it's Please Come To Boston, by Kenny Loggins. Now, if only I could get my short-term memory to improve.... Where'd I put those reading glasses??? -Joe Offer- |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: Rambling Boy From: Amos Date: 30 Jan 00 - 02:20 AM Ramblin' Boy is an older and different tune that was in the North Beach coffeehouse circuit in 1963. Please Come To Boston is later -- I think I date it around 1974 or so.
