From: GUEST,Gary

Hi all

I've de-lurked to ask a favour.

Does anyone have the chords to Celia of the Seals by Donovan and a song by Country Joe Fish called I think Blood on the Ice ?

If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.

Thanks Gary

Thanks Peg.

The Country Joe song he did without the Fish. I had the old 45, it was sold for an animal charity, but I'm sure he wrote it.

Regards Gary

"Celia of the Seals" by Donovan appeared on "HMS Donovan," 1971, which was reissued as a CD in 1998; it is also on the 2-CD set "Troubadour: The Definitive Collection 1964-1976" issued 1992; and on "Love Is Hot, Truth Is Molten," 1998. Click here for the lyrics in another thread.

"Blood on the Ice" by Country Joe McDonald, appears on his album "Classics," 1989. From a sound sample:

...and it looks so real
It's a baby seal.
Madam got a brand new coat today and it looks so real.
Can I feel your baby seal because it...

Ciao!

I found the lyrics, but not chords at moment!

CELIA OF THE SEALS

Donovan

Should you wander this land to the north
As few seldom do
Should you follow the song of the gull to Enchanted Western Isle
Coax a fisherman take you out
Where the silky seals are seen
Hear the stories that they tell about
Celia of the seals
She knows just how they feel
Celia of the seals

Chorus
Noinia noinia noinia
noinia noinia nay
Celia of the seals

Seal hunters are not brave and bold
They murder her poor wee seals
And cut of the skins with their souls
Cursed are those who deal
There's no reason for this slaughtering
They are left on the rocks to bleed
It's not a man who does this thing
It's a cruel and heartless deed
Celia of the seals
Celia of the seals
Celia of the seals
Celia of the seals

Chorus

Noinia noinia noinia
noinia noinia nay
Noinia noinia noinia
noinia noinia nay Fade out from around here
Noinia noinia noinia
noinia noinia nay

Celia of the seals
Celia of the seals
