I think the song that was wanted might be NO. 26 MINE DISASTER by Allister MacGillivray. It was sung by Men of the Deeps. The lyrics can be found in this thread: Lyr Add: No. 26 Mine Disaster (A MacGillivray)

Subject: Mining disaster song

The posts about the Springhill mining disaster reminded me of another song in the same vein ( pardon the pun ). The Men of the Deeps, a choral group of former and active coal miners from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, usually sing a song about a Glace Bay mining disaster. I can't remember the number of men that died then ( I believe it was 10 ) and the song was titled 10? Men Gone. Does anyone have the lyrics?
