Subject: Storms Never Last From: DobroBob Date: 01 Feb 00 - 02:04 PM Yet another, and I promise this one will be the last one today. Tomorrow, however, could be another story! Thanks in advance, as always. |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: Storms Never Last From: Dale Rose Date: 05 Feb 00 - 12:45 PM Storms Never Last, do they Baby? Can't even think at the moment who did it. Best I can do is move it back to the top for you. |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: Storms Never Last From: Crowhugger Date: 19 Feb 00 - 01:27 AM The only song along this line I know is "This Storm Shall Surely Pass," recorded by Alan Fraser and Daisy DeBolt some 20 or 30 years ago. It mentions, "this house seems so dark and empty, I need your company, I cannot stand alone." Ring a bell? |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: Storms Never Last From: Dale Rose Date: 19 Feb 00 - 02:09 AM I finally thought of at least one recording. It was by Dottsy (Brodt, but her last name was seldom used) on her Sweetest Thing album from 1976. I couldn't find it though, I was only able to locate her Trying To Satisfy You album from 1979. |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: Storms Never Last From: Dale Rose Date: 19 Feb 00 - 02:24 AM Check this out at Cowpie, by Jennings and Colter ~~ chords included. It is the same song I mentioned, but I never heard their version, just the one by Dottsy ~~ no one has ever accused me of liking what is popular. |
Subject: Lyr Add: STORMS NEVER LAST From: Jim Dixon Date: 06 Feb 18 - 05:36 PM STORMS NEVER LAST As recorded by Dottsy, 1975 CHORUS: Storms never last, do they, baby? Bad times all pass with the wind. Your hand in mine steals the thunder, And your love makes the sun want to shine. I followed you down so many roads, baby, Picked wildflowers, and sung you soft sad songs, And every road you took, I know, your search was for the truth, And the clouds brewing now won't be the last. CHORUS TWICE |
