Thanks for "Forest Lawn", folks. (Boy, that was quick. Two answers in less than 10 minutes). I'll have to visit here more often .... a knowledgeable and responsive group.

Thanks, all.

(Pardon the repeat post...did't expect an answer so quickly)

A little off thread, but does anyone have the lyrics to the parody:

Come to the church in the wildwood, Kindly place a contribution in the pail. Be as trusting and as _______ as a child would, And we'll sell you the church in the Dale.

Oh lay me down in Forest Lawn they understand there, They have a heavenly choir and a military band there. With a casket lined in fleece And fireworks spelling out 'Rest In Peace' Oh take me when I'm gone to Forest Lawn.

The name of the song is "Forest Lawn", sung by ???

thanks

I have the music (four part vocal) from a collection of old christian quartet songbooks (c 1920 - most with both shape-note and standard notation) that I inherited from my Grandmother-in-law. If you have a fax, I could send you a copy.
