Subject: Joe Hill chords?

My music partner is interested in working up a version of Joe Hill and I've been trying to learn it from Joan Baez's version. Most of the chords are easy and I've worked out some that fit pretty well, but I'm not sure they're the ones JB uses. What I'm using are:

G — C —G
G — Bm — Am — D
G — C — G
D — G

Not sure of the minors in the second line. What do you use?

thanx

david

These chords are from the 1960 songbook 'SONGS OF WORK & FREEDOM", edited by Edith Fowke and Joe Glazer : C F C C F C D 7 G C G7 C AND THE ENDING C G7 DM7 G7 C

You might like these:

G C G I dreamed I saw Jow Hill last night alive as you and me, Em C G Says I, " But, Joe you're ten years dead, A D D7 Am D7 G - C - G - D "I never died," says he, "I never died says he."

Keep on singing the old songs. Best, Ray

G C G I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night alive as you and me, Em C G, Says I, "But, Joe you're ten years dead, A D D7 Am D7 G-C-G-D, Says Joe, "I didn't die." Says Joe, "I didn't die."

wish me luck

OK, I'll take the easy way out for the technologically challenged:

G - - - C - G - Em - C G A - D - Am D7 G C G D

Does that work?

Thanks, Frand and Ray Frank. I had toyed with the Em in there, but it sounded better to my ear to go back to a G in the second line. I'll try it again when I get home using your progressions and see what it sounds like. Thanx again.
