Indeed there is, the earliest I know of is Grosse's "Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue" - You'ld be amazed how many are still in use.

Annap - what the boy says to Scrooge's instruction to buy the turkey is "Walk-er!" - and Scrooge replies "No, no, I'm in earnest." [I'm quoting from the first ed. of 1843, which was well enough followed (in this respect) by the film.] Anyway, in the dictionary of vulgarities "Lexicon Balatronicum", 1811, we get the parent expression, "Hookee Walker", "An expression signifying that the story is not true, or that the thing will not occur." In other words, it's an impolite version of "Get lost!" or such.

Lajka wants a translation of "whack fol etc..." to Swedish words. and they are "Trala lala la etc"

ex. Rocky road to Dublins ".. Whack fo lol di da" could be something like this in Swedish: "Tra lalla lalla la"

I thought it was a British phrase meaning sorta "to hell with you". Didn't the little boy in "A Christmas Carol" with Alistar Simm that Scrooge told to go to the butcher and buy the big turkey hanging in the window yell back "Wack fol" with his hand cupped around his mouth? Sounded like that to me. ;-)

It doesn't mean anything -- songs in English are often padded with strings of nonsense syllables. "Wack-fol-de-daddio" or "Riteful-riteful-tiddi-ai-ay" or "doowopdoowopdoowaa".
