Subject: Lyr Add: IN THE GOOD OLD COLONY DAYS From: Uncle_DaveO Date: 12 Feb 00 - 04:34 PM I have somewhat different words, taken from the Richard Dyer-Bennett recording: In the good old colony days, When we lived under the king, Lived a miller and a weaver and a little tailor, Three jolly rogues of Lynn. Chorus pattern: Last line of verse twice Repeat last two lines of verse Now the miller, he stole flour, And the weaver, he stole yarn, And the little tailor, he stole broadcloth, For to keep those three rogues warm. Chorus Now the miller was drowned in his dam, And the weaver was hanged in his yarn, And the devile got his paw on the little tailor, With his broadcloth under his arm! Chorus |
