I added on to the Phoenix thread, but will start this one as well. I'll be at a conference on Pediatric Integrative Medicine at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson February 18-20, and would love to hear some live acoustic music, or sing some live acoustic songs with live acoustic people. Anybody going to be in town?

Howdy there Mark.I checked the Tucson Friends of Traditional Music newsletter and found:

(1) Sat 2/19: Contra&Square Dance with live string band (The Privy Tippers) 7:45-11 PM at Armory Park Recreation Center just south of downtown (220 S. 5th Ave)entrance by donation (for info call 520-327-1779)

(2) Also, you might call the song circle number and see if they know of anything: 520-327-1779

(3) and since there's too many Bluegrass Jams around here to list in their newsletter, the following URL was given for checking out the possibilities there: http://home.att.net/~fertilepickens

Thankyou thankyou thankyou! I haven't been to a contradance since the one I met my soon-to-be-ex-wife at, 9 years ago in Santa Barbara. And maybe a song circle, too! Almost makes me want to move back to the Mainland. Then again, it was about 80 degrees and sunny today...I think maybe I'll stay here and get the music when and where I can.
