Now, now--the propane torch required to burn the stuff off of the wall is indeed dry.

Try a spray/mister bottle and a wide dry-wall taping knife.

Ah yes....wallpaper removal. When we first moved into our house 4 years ago, there was this really ugly wallpaper all over. So...it being summer, and still being homeschooled (I was 16) my mothers and sisters and I would sit around for hours removing wallpaper--and before anyone think this is a non-music related thread--WELL IT TOO RIGHT IS! I'd put on tape after tape...we'd be there for 6 or 7 hours straight peeling and peeling. Nothing gets my heart going like the sounds of Queen's "A Night At The Opera" and various Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals mixing with the noxious scent of scalding windex...plastic putty knives...spending a half hour on a four inch piece, trying to get "the perfect peel" without ripping the plaster or drywall apart...pure bliss...

You should see mine! In fact I can *show* it to you and then you will feel so blessed.

JOKE: A man drags himself into the back door of a large, old church. He's been beaten. He's in pain. He's nearly dead. He drags himself up the aisle, wailing, "Why, God? Why me?"

Resting a bit, he goes on. Closer and closer to the altar and its Holiest of Holies. "Why, God? Why me?"

A bit later, closer still, "Why, God? Why me?"

No one comes to his aid. Eventually he reaches the foot of the altar steps. Drags himself up to the altar. Panting. Desperate to understand before he leaves this earth. "Why, God? Why me?"

A crack opens up in the heavens. A bolt of lightning just misses the man. A rumbing is heard from one end of the earth to the other. A Mighty voice speaks.

"Because... youooo... pisssss..Meee...offfff....!

Gee, I'm glad that's not the one I believe in!

And with a good old LOL, I'm off to muck the last wall and a bit of tidying.

Our house was built in 1930 and the wallpaper in two rooms had been re-papered over the old stuff for years. It took me a week on each room with a steamer to get back down to plaster, and several more days of scrubbing to remove the old glue so we could paint. That was fifteen years ago.The other day my Wife said that she thought the dining room would look good with wallpaper.I really don't think she understood my reaction.
