Can anyone put me in touch with performers of traditional Icelandic music? I am looking for a singer or group to book for the Baring-Gould Folk Festival in Devon England 20-29 October 2000. Contact Baring-Gould Folk Festival at sbg@wrentrust.co.uk

Well one of our members, Skarpi, has a band IN Iceland and plays trad Irish and I'm reasonably sure they do Icelandic as well. I'll send him a Personal Message and ask that he check in here.

You can see a picture of him and his band by going thru the "Quick Links" up top of the page and going to "bbc's Mudcat Resources"...go to photos page and click on the name "Skarpi."

I sent an e-mail and a Personal Message to Skarpi and also e-mailed the original poster, Chris Foster, last night. Haven't heard anything from anybody yet, but I thought I'd refresh this so it stays on the daily page.
