As I amble through the Forum, the TV is on, and my three and a half year old daughter is popping thru the cable channels, and who should she settle on to watch, but Joe Hickerson, who seems to have been taped singing in the City Council Chamber in Takoma Park--he is singing "Someone's Faxing Lord, Kumbaya!" and she is playing on a kazoo--

Life is good--

It's been repeated several times on the Tacoma Park station.

And that son-of-a-gun didn't let his record company hear of it in time to announce it on the 'net! What kind of promotional activity is that? Ah, well, we were never destined for fame and glory.

The Takoma Park cable TV station is forever running complete performers' sets recorded at the Takoma Park Folk Festival. Whole chunks of TV time-30 and 45 minute blocks, laden with folk music. Lisa Null reports that she's seen the performance she and I and Bob Clayton (Songster Bob) and Jennifer Woods (Knitpick) and Pete Kraemer and George Stephens (spouse of lamarca) were involved in back in Sept. of 1998.

Now that's what I call "Public Service" programming. Darned rare.

Yes, I have seen that one as well--the best thing is that you can tune in to it as easily as MTV--
