I need melody line notation or abc for this tune, lyrics and chords won't help. I have checked cowpie, DT Mirror,and webferret, no luck except discography, which doesn't help either. I believe its a Chubby Wise tune. Thanks, guys!

ernest, I appreciate that you answered. Sorcha is one of my best friends. I spent several of the last few days with a musical itch as big as hers, so I am so happy you scratched it for her!!! I think she went to bed-- how lovely for her to wake up and find it.

Are you a fiddler too? And how did you find that piece? Sorcha is a really good searcher.

Sorcha, if you are after a recording of the tune, I have one. The Roane County Ramblers recording, by their fiddler Jimmy McCarroll, which is referred to by The Fiddlers Companion, was never issued. There is a recording by another Tennessee band, McCartt Brothers and (Andy) Patterson, reissued on 'Rural String Bands of Tennessee' CO-CD-3511. Evidently, Fiddling Arthur Smith also recorded it, but I don't have that. I can send you a tape of the County reissue if you PM me and arrange.

aaaaghhh!! I'd really rather have dots, but MIDI will do. THANK YOU ERNEST!! Now, would somebody that can make sheet music from MIDI's pretty please do that and e mail it to me? I used to could, but when my computer crashed, I lost MidiNotate, and now they want $$ for it--no freeware at all.
