Subject: RE: love to jam man, in N.Y. From: Margaret V Date: 23 Mar 00 - 07:50 PM Hi, Evelyn, on Thursday, May 25, there will be a session at Guinan's pub in Garrison New York. That's about an hour's train ride north of Manhattan, right on the Hudson River. It's tiny and very friendly! Just take the Hudson Line out of Grand Central Station to the Garrison train station, walk down the stairs, and there you are! Guinan's is about the only business in this little hamlet, you can't miss it. Things get started around 9:00. Hope you're still in NYC at that end of the month, it'll be nice to see you there. I myself am a beginner on fiddle, a bit more competent on guitar and voice. Best, Margaret |

Subject: RE: love to jam man, in N.Y. From: InOBU Date: 23 Mar 00 - 09:35 PM Hi you old Ozonian: Keep in touch as you get close to your trip. As you may have noticed, our bands local closed, and we (Sorcha Dorcha) are homeless and rambling about looking for work. Our facist mayor is cracking down on live music in pubs. He wants, as a quality of life issue, to make sure people do what they are supposed to do in bars, get locked. There are sessions around NYC, and if we are not playing, we will show you around a few, or provide a guide, and if we are back under a roof, we will have you up on the stage to play something, perhaps from Eric Bogal - if you must, tie me kangaroo down, though we would rather something well, more Bogalish, though we love anything from down under, we will start stocking up on Fosters. Bring shrimp - and a digery doo in D if you want to play with the Uilleann Pipes. Larry (InOBU) |
