Subject: RE: Help: pol circus in ny From: Easy Rider Date: 03 Apr 00 - 03:41 PM Actually, there should be 24 hour daylight in NYC. The Sun should NEVER set, because GOD doesn't trust Mayor Giuliani after dark! |

Subject: RE: Help: pol circus in ny From: Greg F. Date: 01 Apr 00 - 08:19 PM Unfortunately, this is consistent enough with the good mayor's usual thought processes[sic] to be true! Same magic as if ya don't see homeless people, then they don't exist. |
Subject: RE: Help: pol circus in ny From: The Beanster Date: 01 Apr 00 - 07:32 PM heheehehee If that were the case, the Bronx and parts of Brooklyn should be pushed 4 hours ahead (at least)!! (just kidding, fellow New Yorkers...) I just saw this thing on TV--there is one guy whose job it is to run around the City, maintaining all the clocks on public buildings. Just one guy. Amazing. I suppose he's very busy today. |
Subject: RE: Help: pol circus in ny From: katlaughing Date: 01 Apr 00 - 06:59 PM This is his idea of an April Fool's joke, right, thosp? |
Subject: pol circus in ny From: thosp Date: 01 Apr 00 - 06:44 PM Mayor Guilliane of New York -- has decreed that New Yorkers must turn their clocks ahead TWO hours- instead -- his reasoning is that this will significantly cut down on crime (as most crimes are commited at night)ergo less night=less crime --- the boro presidents of the bronx and brooklyn have refused to go along -- stating that this is just an election year ploy -- the boro presidents of queens and staten island agree with the Mayors position (they are republicans as is the Mayor)---so as of tomorrow New York city will have two times -- depending upon which boro you are in eg:Manhatten --9pm Queens--9pm Staten Island--9pm The Bronx--8pm Brooklyn--8pm i'd just like to get some Mudcatters thoughts on this situation --- do you agree or disagree with the Mayor? etc. peace (Y) thosp |
