Duane D. & I plan to attend Rick Fielding's concert in Branford, CT this Sat. pm (April 8th) & wonder if we will see other Mudcatters there. We'll be in our teeshirts & our photos are at my site, if anyone wants to look for us. It's going to be great to meet Rick in person after feeling like I know him for so long! Hope to see *you* there!

best,

bbc

Yeah...I suppose you will, but you failed to mention.......

Folks, I talked to Heather (Duckboots) tonight by phone and I know she'll be there too. Let me assure you that though she may be offstage, she is at LEAST as entertaining as Rick.......and a lot better looking!

I hope all of you 'Catters that make it have a wondeful time and enjoy a GREAT picker and singer, and be sure to add to your pleasure by getting to know Heather too.

Spaw

Sorry I can't be there Rick, but I did finally get to hear you on the C.B.C. this afternoon. Nice to see you getting some airplay and I really enjoyed the cut. Good stuff!!!

Well, Tim and I *WANT* to be there, but when I call to make reservations, I get "the machine is off" after 10 rings. Does this mean there are no seats left? We'd RATHER go to North Stonington (lots closer) but we're waiting to hear if the host has a couple of empty seats left.....

We're looking forward to seeing & hearing Rick, *and* meeting Heather!

Vixen,

They don't take reservations or hold tickets, as I understand. The door opens at 7:30 pm. They sometimes have concerts downstairs (smaller area). If a lot of people are expected or show up, they can have the concert upstairs in the sanctuary. I've been to both kinds. I don't think folks will be turned away. Hope to see you!

It's never been very crowded, in my memory, so don't worry about reservations. If the place gets full (it probably holds about 50-75), they will move upstairs to the sanctuary, as BBC said. Just show up! Frank and I will be there before it's over... Very casual church basement, folding chairs, refreshments available.

We're looking forward to seeing what all the fuss and raves are about!

Branford's a fine place to share songs with a very appreciative audience. Rick will love it! If you can't make the "gig from Heaven" in North Stonington (which certainly does sell out regularly and quickly), get to the concert in Branford, and don't worry about being turned away at the door, there's lots of room in the sanctuary upstairs, if it's needed.

Sandy

Dick and I are planning on it now that we can't catch Rick at Annap's. I assume that this is the church that used to have the summer concert series?

Well, this is the big day! I can't wait to meet Rick in person, after *knowing* him over Mudcat for the past two-ish years! Duane D. & I are going up early to have dinner locally before the concert. Sure hope we will see some of you there. If not, another time, another place.

best,

I wish someone had invented a transporter or tardis or other faster-than-now-possible traveling device. Enjoy the concert, and please give Rick and Heather my love. (See if you can provoke him into playing the fiddle if he brought it.)
