I ain't no guest, but haven't gotten around to fixing my cookie. I will be in Gloucester Mass. next week and would like to visit some good folk music clubs in that area. I know there are some good threads on Boston proper. How about Gloucester? Thanks for any suggestions.

"Me and Thee" coffeehouse is located in Marblehead; "Linden Tree" is in Wakefield. Southern N.H. also has some "folks" and is close to Gloucester. When do you leave your computor for your trip? Just wondering... do you pronounce Gloucester, Mass, as we do Gloucester, England? (ie Glosster)

Bald Eagle, obviously you do not come from Gloucester, England because if you did you would know that is pronounced Glawster.

There's the "One World Coffee House" in Essex, one town west of Glucester (yes, all our towns are named after English towns.) The Rhumb Line in Glucester often has folk and roots-based acts and Camerons usually has folk music on Sunday afternoons.

Hey Dan, I have a good friend who recently moved from here in the Northwest to Gloucester, Mass. He says it's a small drinking town with a fishing problem. His name is Jim Hinde. He's a large guy with a full beard ponytail (usually braided) and plays a Larivee (sp?) guitar. He writes some great stuff. Look for him at some of those folk venues. I've been trying to get him to visit here but I'm not sure he's had the pleasure yet. Tell him Reggie says hey.
