Actually of course, the tune works on ANY folk instrument and I could really see it being done by a mixed group and passing the melody line around from fiddle to banjo to guitar to HD to flute to mandolin........lot of fun!

I really do just love the tune!

Jeri, that is so sweet. I just love it. And it is so appropriate for kat.
Thanks for letting us know Alan.
I guess I will have to figure out how to play The Laughing Cat on the banjo.
Just lovely Jer, really lovely.

Little Neo

Li'l Neo - I think it would sound good with your style of playing, and the variations I know you'd create.

Spaw, I would love to hear this on the hammered dulcimer. Gosh, wouldn't it be nice if someone were to record it and send it in to Max. Golly, I wonder who might be able to do that...

Funny thing, Jeri. I was just getting ready to check in here, tonight, saw this file on my desktop and thought I'd play it to myself before logging in. Didn't, then the first thread I see is this! Are we in sync or what!!!???

Thank you for getting it to Alan and thanks to you, Alan, for putting it up.

It is such a beautiful tune and full of good, good energy. I love it and am honoured, Jeri. Would LOVE to hear it on the HD AND other instruments, includng your banjo, Bonnie!

Thanks! luvyakat

Bad Jeri - bad, bad Jeri...
THANK YOU for the compliments, and THANK YOU, Alan, for all the work you do. THANK YOU Kat, for having a personality that inspired this tune to write itself.

A query: is there a list somewhere of tuneless DT songs? I'd be willing to do some MIDIs if I know the tune.

Beautiful tune Jeri....esp. for katL. Fantasy.....Catspaw-hd; Li'l Neo-banjo; Rick-guitar; Jeri-fiddle...etc., etc., with Musicman singing the words written by Amos.....sent to Max for inclusion in the Mudcatters' cd.
