Hi.. I'm looking for the title, and if possible the tune, of a song, the chorus of which is something like this:

"Bye-bye, bye-bye/ bye-bye, bye-bye/ Bye-bye, my [Rosianna?]/ Bye-bye, bye-bye/ bye-bye, bye-bye/ And I won't be home tomorrow."

I know it under the title of 'Roseanna', and it was collected by Alan Lomax for I heard it on one of the CDs of his collection brought out recently. I haven't got it and don't know which one it was, but I suppose you could check. - Good luck, Susanne

Ah, thank you. I eventually found something in Yahoo, I think by looking up "bye my roseanna", and found the lyrics, anyway. If it's of any interest to anyone else, this is the song I was talking about. Good song. ~Erin

I posted what I think is a pretty good version of the lyrics here (click). It's a hard song to find, since the name can be spelled so many different ways.
