Dumb question time. If I go to, say, Amazon.com through the Mudcat, and then bookmark that web address, can I then go there directly from my bookmark and still have any purchases credit Mudcat, or will that feature only work if I connect through Mudcat? Thanks for your patience, Margo

And if I go in through the Mudcat to Amazon.com, and thence via a link on the page, to Amazon.co.uk, does Mudcat still benefit?

You can create a bookmark to amazon.mudcat.org
I know a couple of non-Mudcatters who frequent Amazon, so I put the bookmark on their toolbars. I don't know about the .uk.

Doesn't sound like a dumb question at all, Margo. I've been wondering the same thing. When I link to CD's or books at online stores, I try to go through the "Support Mudcat" page to get to the URL for the item, and then paste that URL into the link. I think that works most of the time, but I'm not sure.
Can Max or some other techno-capitalist explain this to us who are unversed in the ways of cyberfinance?

Margo, I don't know how the system works but can't imagine there being any difference. To be on the safe side though why not right click on the links given on the Mudcat page and select Add To Favourites/ Add Bookmark depending on your browser. That way you have the identical links as on the Mudcat page.
