The local bar owner was trying to quit smoking, so therefore allowed no smoking in his bar. Folks would huddle outside by the lamp post in sub-zero temps to light up. My cousin visited from London, and on seeing so many obvious "street people" outside a pub, remarked that there must be quite the call (forgive the pun) for prostitution in Alaska. |
