Hello, Spaw -- wonderful to hear from you... yes indeed, I have taken luring to a new plane over the last several years. And yes, I am still exchanging gases... and in some interesting new ways as well... we have two grandsons, now.

Glad you like the tunes, Kat... be sure to remember to wash you hands after cleaning up that litter!

Paul

Well, good, Paul. I've just listened to them all and have to say my fav. is Parent's Lament. Oh so beautiful, poignant and true! LOVE all of them...are you surprised?**bg** Thanks so much for coming back and sharing! As you can see, I still have to clean up litter after Spaw, sometimes; not as often, though...he's aged uh...mellowed.:-)

Well damn Paul...........You always were a pretty fair lurker but this is ridiculous. I figured you were eaten by a gator or something......................You still sound pretty good so I figure you must still be exchanging gases.............so am I but that's a bit different.

Spaw

It's good to have the liberty to be back and focused on my music again, Kat... What a long, strange trip it's been!

Heya! Just got the first link to work. Listening to House on the Hill, right now. Still have that voice I love and the tune is just as great as I've come to expect - both uniquely YOURS and one of my very favs! Now on to the next song. It's so good to see you back here, Paul!!

Hello EJ! The dobro player on House On The Hill is Al Scortino, out of Sebastian, Florida. I was also fortunate enough to have Tuck Tucker -- arguably on of the best Dobro players on the planet -- record on the "Classic Ride" track on the new CD.

Thanks for the feedback!

Paul

Hi KAT! Should not be a problem with Firefox... hmmmm. You can also give a listen here though these are faorly brief preview clips. If you use iTunes, there are longer clips there.

Thanks for the welcome back -- I shall try to be a more "present" friend going forward!

Not long forgotten in my house! I still sing some of your very wonderful songs, Paul. I can't wait to hear your new stuff. I can't get it to play, though. It acts as though it's trying to but just doesn't get started. Do I have to join up to hear them? Or, maybe use a different browser? I'm using FireFox.

And, Welcome Back!!!

..and here we are now all these years later, and I have just released my second solo CD -- "Songs From Sand Lake". This after many years of playing with a band, and totally abandoning the music scene for a few years... for those who may still remember me, or those who might like to get to know me -- more here .

Best to all!

That old long forgotten guy from Florida...

Dear Paul,

Sorry about giving out the wrong email address, but that's the one on bbc's resources page. Maybe you should ask her to change it, huh? *BG*

Wow - just 4 weeks 'till we can get our hands on more great songs!! Yes, yes, yes...

Thanks one and all for the kind words -- actually Aine, to contact me, try pgarf@mediaone.net

Tha album was self produced, and is available either through me or at www.folkweb.com -- Mudcat members are welcome to drop me a personal message via the 'cat.

The new album is in the very final stages of production and duplication. This one is with my band, "The Ashley Gang" titled Doing Time, on Blind Fish Records. Should be available in about 4 weeks and will be available directly through Mudcat.

Best to all!

Paul

A minor suggestion- If you're going to refer to CDs, please name the CD, Artist and publisher so that others may (maybe) wish to buy it. From Camsco, hopefully.

Don't know how I missed seeing this thread! Yes, yes, yes -- this is definitely a CD that everyone should get! Paul was kind enough to send me a copy several weeks ago, and it is wonderful. I lent it to Dear Hubby for a day to listen to in his car, and didn't see it again for two weeks -- I had to demand its return. It sure does deserve more airplay on MCR, that's for sure . . . are you listening, Max??

And Paul -- Sorry, but you ARE a hunk! (Come to think of it, maybe THAT's why DH was holding your CD hostage...*BG*)

Get this one, folks, or you'll miss a really good listening experience! And the great news is - Paul's working on another CD now - Yes, yes, yes . . .

Thanks, Alison, not sure how I missed that one!

I played "Sails Against the Wind" on the CD player in my computer, tonight, and sang along to it, in HearMe. Great fun!

Just got a CD from PaulG, which Max played a cut from on last week's radio program. WOW! I am listening to it right now and can already say my favourite cuts are "Sails Against the Wind" and "Good Enough for Me" which is the title track. All of the songs are original and he has tremendous backup from some other really fantastic musicians. Oh, well, the last song is on now, might have to add it to the favs..."When This War is over."

Paul says he doesn't have many of this CD left and has another coming out, thank goodness!

I am not a guitarist, but I listen to plenty of music, including you all. His playing is soooo smooth, coupled with a strong, clear, yet gentle voice, well, it just "melts mah heart."

Just beautiful, PaulG! Thank you, thank you! Oh, and...the check's in the mail! Really!**BG**

If you haven't heard this, 'Catters, I would urge you to do so.

Max, please play more of this CD next radio show, okay? And, Paul....join us in HearMe some Sunday night? IT would be a pleasure.

Thanks,

kat
