It usualy gets a roar. "I was born in Maratahu Street, New Plymouth (a town in Taranaki, North Island, NZ), backing onto "The Bull Pen" (home of the Taranaki Rugby Team), home of "Ferdinand the Bull" (the rugby mascot). Next thing you'll try to fleece us and hogget all. If I had enough ram in my computer I'd lamb-ast you for such woolly thinking. Spaw, out here (NZ) possums come under the shaft of Saggitarius. The Australian version were released here in the late 1800s, for a "fur trade" that never eventuated. With no natural predators, they exploded through the bush, defoliating trees as efficiently as agent orange, spreading bovine TV etc - Public Enemy #1 - poisoned, shot, road kills, yet still they thrive. I'm sure your possums are real neat wee critters in their rightful "home" habitat. So are our Aussie ones, despite being such a pest. I must confess I've even had a few as "semi-pets" (illegally) - they'd come inside, feed out of my hand and even accept a scratch behind the ear. The only problem is, you just can't "house-train" Australians **vbg**. Dons "Flak" jacket, sharpens pencil (& wits) and gets prepared for replies from my "Flamin' OzCobs - before pressing Submit (I'd never do that mates).....;) Happy Birthday (& Bathday) to all of whatever Astrological persuasion, where and whenever it happens - even possums.
