I used to know a song that went "Way down yonder in the tall grass .. lived a little girl named Sassafras .. wiggle in her walk and a giggle in her talk and a funny way of putting on the sass..

Chorus: Call out the neighborhood boys .. I'm the one that's making all the noise.. a little cup of tea knocked the heart out of me and that cup of tea was Sassafras"

That's all I remember and I sure would like to get the rest of the lyrics. I've looked on a lot of lyric boards and can't find it. I think it was sung in the late 60's by the Kingston Trio or Brother's Four. Anyone remember this song?

Completing what I couldn't remember a year ago, Billy Edd Wheeler recorded it on an album called "Billy Edd USA"

I learned the first two lines as

"Way down yonder in the pawpaw patch
met a little girl named Sassafras."

The Modern Folk Quartet, a group out of San Francisco, had it on their album around 1960.
