Guy Wolff generously donated some of his CDs to Mudcat. 'Back Porch Blues' and 'Music from Wolff Pottery'
We played some of the tracks on Mudcat Radio last week. Guy is a fantastic player and singer, He's equally at home with blues and traditional folk songs. (and that's apart from being a really nice guy)

Here's a list of tracks for the two CDs. We have about 5 of each left, the price is $15 for one, or $20 for the pair. That includes shipping. All proceeds go to Mudcat. Post to this thread if you want to buy. First come first served.

You mean to tell me every Mudcatter does not have a copy of Guy Wolff's CD's? You got to be kidding!
I mean I could understand if you haven't order one of his lovely pots, but his CD's? Oy, I can't believe it.

Guy's CDs are so 'tasty' (as they say in musician lingo)that they have established permanent residence on my 5 track CD player.
Every morning when I get up it is a ritual for me to listen to Guy Wolff's music while drinking my Starbucks Kenya coffee.
Besides the fact that I love this man dearly, he is an excellent musician. Although he is famous for his pots I think he should be recognized for his musical talents.
I think all this potty stuff he does is just a cover-up to keep Guy's musical talents in modesty.

The pot goes round and round and the plant will swing along to the tune.
Personally I have notice my plants bloom more often when I play Guy's CDs on a regular basis.

Hello Gang! What a nice surprise to find this thread.. Thanks Bonnie for letting me know.. I was so happy to support the old family Mudcat home as it feels to so many of us. If a few jump in and we go over the first donation I will be glad to send a few more to MAx. I hope alot of the people who talk here jump in and make an "independent cd" ( We used to call them "Vanity Presses") of their own.. It is such an education and helps the old ears and is more fun then can be imagined..I'm sorry I havent figured out the "real Player" yet.. Somebody leave me a personal on what got played (or here). I'd love to know which tunes or songs people liked..It's so helpful to get feed-back...Anyway thanks for the kind words.. And dont worry if anyone wants to trash them alittle they wont be any harder on me then I can be on myself.. Even better buy them from the old Mudcat and then critique them all you want!!!All the best, Guy

Ok, Ok. I'll take two in my tutu, too. How do I arrange for payment? Do you take Visa, MasterCard, checks, pennies taped to long pieces of paper? What? How?

Also, I tried to listen to the archived radio program on Real Player and while Real Player would come up, it didn't want to play anything for me. Would someone please give me some coaching? YOu can do it by personal message if you don't want to tie up the thread with my technological insufficiencies....

WyoWoman, click on the Mudcat leaping out of the banjo where it says Support the Mudcat and it will take oyu to all the info on how to call with a credit card number or where to mail a check.

What version of Real Player do you have? If it is less than 7 Basic, you may need to do an upgrade, which you can do by clicking on the logo for it on the radio page or through your old version. If that doesn't work you will have to seek a higher power than me!**BG**

The CD's Came Today!!!

What a nice Father's Day present!

They are on now for the first of many many listens. Even my wife came in and asked "What is that?.... I really like it". The surprise is the dulcimer and concertina playing!

Flowers of the forest was on there to remenber my father in law who had just passed that spring.. Being of Scotish bacground (Toronto Canadian) I liked the feel of it on appilation mt. Dulcimer in bagpipe tuning(DD/D//D) and ,since he spent his life after the second world war in New Hanpshire I liked ending the piece with June Apple.<><><>><><>Ship in Distress has both English and Anglo concertina to give the feel of a boat in motion. Gem of the day...maybe the week. I just discovered another sealed CD amid the packing boxes - Music From The Pottery by Guy Wolff. So here I sit humming and listening and not cleaning my house...SIGH.

On first listening, my favorite is Dark As A Dungeon. But then again, I haven't heard anyone do "Harvest Moon" justice since Aunt May passed away. This is a treasure for folkies and blues lovers alike.

Unreal. Its April fools day03 and Im out selling the third CD and youve found the first one.!!. Very cool.. Thanks for the kind words though. The second one is more Blusie and is Called "Back Porch & blues" and the new one is Folky in the begining English inspired in the middle and Bluesy at the end. Back Porch Blues is among the stilll sealed and to be played. I didn't even know I had these plus an extra copy of Jed Marum's CD. i thank the powers that be for Max and Mudcat every day. Good luck with the new CD.
