I am visiting the NW U.S. for the first week of June, '00. Are there regular song circles going on? I am a collector and singer of traditional songs, mostly acapella, and would be interested in meeting others with similar interests. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Cheers,

June

Seattle has a Folk Society as well, I just can't find it. You might can do a search "Seattle Folk Music Society" and come up with it. Victory music might have a reference to it as well.

If you're in the Portland area you can check out Portland Folklore Society. Portland is just across the Columbia river from Washington state, and is about 160 miles south of Seattle. Margo

Seattle Folklore Society is at http://www.seafolklore.org. There is a song circle, but I don't know when it meets. Perhaps the link will lead you there. Good luck!
