Subject: Non-Music: Allan C's Daughter Doing Well From: Allan C. Date: 19 May 00 - 07:51 AM My daughter, Kelly, started a new thread a couple of weeks ago. But she is rather excited about having moved to New Orleans and so posted a rather obscurely titled thread about her current status. I didn't even know the thread existed until she mentioned it in a phone conversation a couple of days ago. I will copy her opening post below. For those who don't know, this is a follow-up to an incident which happend not long ago to which you wonderful 'Catters reacted in your caring and sensitive way. So I didn't want you to miss seeing her thread as I did. Here is what Kelly posted in this thread.
Subject: All's well in N'awlins!
Hi folks! (hi dad :) ) Just wanted to say howdy from the Big Easy and let all of you know how much your letters, both public and those sent via my dad, meant to me. Hehe. Allan C. is a tricky sucker and stuck em on my windsheild at work several weeks ago, but this is the first chance ive had to hop on here. He has relayed all of your msgs since then and i wanted to reassure you all that im doing a lot better. its still kind of a day-to-day thing. But being in a different place is helping. I actually went down to the French Quarter at night by myself on Thursday! hehe. May seem a little like throwing a party over brushing your teeth, but it was a pretty big deal to me. And while i was out, i heard an amazing 60's/70's soul cover band. The girl singer could change her voice to sound like just about any famous soul sistah you can think of. She did an amazing rendition of "Chain of Fools". I wonder if she realized i was singing along with her, probably as loud as her too! hehe. Well anyway, just wanted to thank all of you for your concern:) Be well! |

Subject: RE: Non-Music: Allan C's Daughter Doing Well From: MMario Date: 19 May 00 - 09:24 AM I think a lot of us noticed. I remember reading Kelly's post and feeling the BSEG spread across my face. And the tears well up in my eyes. Probably why I didn't post. too emotional. But I noticed. |
