Dear cbrown,

Sounds like you may be referring to "You're Sixteen". It was performed by Ringo on his eponymous album and featured lyrics like:

"You walked outta my dreams

and into my car

now you're my angel dee-vine;

You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine..."

Let me know if this is the song you're after; I'll try to dig the rest of the lyrics out of the attic of memory.

The original version is by Neil Sedaka and dates back to the sixties -- maybe even the late fifties. OOPS !!

How does one respond to responses? I got an answer to the question, from Les Blank and Mountain Dog -- but can't figure out what their e-mail addresses are. Anyway, thanks. I was indeed thinking of the Neil Sedaka song.

Hi

You don't need their e-mail addresses, you just put the lyrics here like you placed that last message here. Then we can all share them.

Slainte

ALison

Dear Cliff:

Here they are. Actually found them in the OLGA files:

YOU'RE SIXTEEN
(Bobby and Dick Sherman; later performed by Ringo Starr.)

C E7
You come on like a dream, peaches and cream,
F C
lips like strawberry wine
D7 G7 C G7
You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine

You're all ribbons and curls, oooh what a girl
eyes that sparkle and shine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine [no G7 here]

E7
You're my baby, you're my pet,
A7
We fell in love on the night we met
D7
You touched my hand, my heart went pop
G7
Oooh when we kissed, we could not stop

You walked out of my dreams, and into my arms
now you're my angel divine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful, and you're mine

Have fun!
