We will be at Chippenham festival on saturday for Old Swan Band (my favourite band) and then off to Bampton in the Bush in Oxfordshire for their annual (and traditional in the truest sense of the word), Morris tour, this is one of my favourite days in the year, We have been going for about twenty two years and before that Roger was going there for about ten years. I would love to recommend it but then it might get even more crowded than it already is.

Hate to display my ignorance, living so close, but I haven't seen Brian or Carol Massen for a few months, and don't know who's on.

Any ideas, Ickle. I can cut loose from a few hours of mindless wallpapering this weekend!

Best regards

Skipjack K8

Not me but I'm hoping to meet a few Mudcatters in Whitby later in the year.

Yep, I'll be there, probably propping up the bar on the sidestage mostly. Looks like a good lineup this year...

Oh yes, Cleethorpes. Probably the best Fish 'n' chips in the world to be had at Steeles cafe.

i think Ishall retitle this thread -anyone not going to Cleethorpe's this year. Skipjack-your only a couple of miles down the road! I will not accept any excuses if you fail to turn up for the Beverley folk festival the weekend of June 16th. not the least because its Sam Pirt's 21st and we need a few Mudcatters to give him the honorary 'bumps'...

I checked out the trains and decided that 5 hours each way was a little excessive!!! Have a good time. Bron.

Sorry you couldn't get to the Jug. What I saw before twisting my ankle was good fun.
I am not fit to go anywhere this coming weekend (other than possibly Syd's Beer Festival at the Jug - the caravan is still there). Raise a glass of Bateman's or a pint in Willie's.
Quack!

I scoured the place for Mudcat badges but didn't see one; where were you all hiding?

Ickle; you've got me baffled now! I'm sure Sam celebrated his 21st last year at the Beverley festival. (Perhaps he enjoyed it so much he wants a rerun?)
Happy (delayed)birthday,BTW. Hope to see you at Nellie's on Sunday.
