The Glasglow Lands Festival is held at Stanley Park in Westfield.. a beautiful setting .. Last year when they called the Clans together it was amazing you heard pipes coming from all directions.. through the woods ,from the gardens.. up and down all of the paths..It was a site to see...Made me very proud of my Scottish blood... We have been trying to find out when Stonehill was... Thanks again... KGH |

Subject: RE: upcoming Massachussets Scottish Fests From: katlaughing Date: 27 May 00 - 01:34 PM Sure, thing, KGH. Stanley Park! Oh, that will be lovely. That is one of my very favourite parks. When we first moved to Massachusetts and had to live in a motel for two months waiting for our house to be ready, I spent a lot fo time there with our dog and six cats, as well as the kids when school let out. In fact, we moved there in September and my daughter had her 10th birthday party the following month in Stanley Park! One time when I was there, a very old lady and her daughter stopped me to say hello and ask me where in Wyoming I had lived, as they saw my car plates. We had quite a wonderful visit, with the old lady telling me about how she had grown up on a ranch in Wyoming! Have fun! |

Subject: RE: upcoming Massachussets Scottish Fests From: Peg Date: 30 May 00 - 11:08 AM The Stonehill College festival is a big one all right...I have not been in a couple of years but it tends to get very crowded...but it is a great time: great performances, workshops, vendors, etc. One year I heard Dolores Keane, Altan and several other great bands play the mainstage in the same day! Plus smaller workshop style performances by sean nos singers, etc. It is well worth attending but be prepared for the crowd factor... peg |
