A little nose-picking prior to the flat-picking should solve your problem, Kendall. (BG)
Actually, some types of hand lotion might help.

I have the opposite problem. My fingers get drier than a Baptist picnic and I cant hold the pick.

I generally go with the clothing option, there's already enough stuff to keep track of.

When carrying cold things in humid weather, (usually drinking water in my case), I put the bottle in a milk bag or similar stiff plastic bag as a second container to catch condensation. This might help with the frozen hand-wipe.

I've discovered that wetting a washcloth thoroughly, wringing it out fairly well but not as much as possible, and then freezing it gives the best hot-weather quick clean. Freeze it in a ziplock baggie the night before your gig. Then when you need it, it will be stiff when you first take it out but refreshingly cold, and as you go through your whatever, thaw progressively but remain refreshing for a long time. Stick back in baggie inbetween and it won't drip on anything while not in use. Dry hands on pants if there is extra moisture, but there ought not to be...

Talcum powder or corn starch works for me, or pool cue chalk.

Get a small bottle (plastic) of hand sanitizer from the drugstore. It's a clear alcohol gel, you rub a dollop into your hands and it essentially dries itself. I find it works great, and it's easy to carry in an instrument case.

Moist towellettes or a presoaked washcloth in a plastic bag when you have the minutes to spare, a small towel to dry them quickly when you don't. Add a couple more jokes to between song patter.

In this weather I get sticky hands when playing my dulcimor in a program. No time to go wash. What do you do?
