Help: Lost thread/song posting

Sometime relatively recently someone posted a song about a father and son; it went through (If I am not crazy) from the father sending his son off to first day of school through various stages of life, until the two of them are facing the fact of the father's emminent demise. Can anyone find it and point me to it? (I know, I should have traced it, and I didn't. Flog me later, but help me find the song first, okay?)

Mmario, can you think of any fairly unusual word that might help to narrow the search. And when is 'relatively recently'?

I've been searching for 3 days....But I THINK it was in the first half of may or possibly late april, but after February for sure...

I Think the chorus has something to do with "been there"

I remember reading the post and thinking the general theme was emotionaly the oppisete of "Cat's in the Cradle" - because this was a Dad supporting his son, and at the end of his life, still offering the son support and comfort as they waited for him to die, saying (in essence) I've been there too.

But I've searched on just about every word I can think of and haven't been able to find it. I just hope whoever posted it can remember where they may have posted it?

If you've searched all the 'keywords', already, it's going to be difficult. I've another window open with all the 'Lyr Add:' for the past 180 days, but I'm thinking that perhaps it was posted in a non 'Lyric Add:' thread - any more clues?

I've tried every variation on dad, father, son I could think of....Though I will admit I might have missed it in the slew of threads that came up, school, "have been" "been there" I can't remember the lyrics well enough to think of any word combos....the only reason I can narrow down WHEN it was is because it was past my dad's birthday and before my mom's

Well, guys, I got your answer. The song you're looking for Mario, is "The Walk" by the country group Sawyer Brown. I posted the lyrics here, in one of my lyric quotes of the day. Beautiful song.
