Jimmie Rodgers song I suppose, only know one verse, is there more?

I am thinking tonight of an old Southern town
And the best friend that I ever had
I'm tired and I'm weary from ramblin' around
I'm going back home to my Dad
Your hair has turned to silver
I know you miss me too
Daddy dear, O Daddy
I'm coming home to you!

(Refrain?) You made my boyhood happy
But still I longed to roam
I've had my way, but now I'll stay
I long for you and for home.

That's all I know...appreciate any additional words!

Dear old daddy you shared my sorrows and joys
You tried to bring me up right
I know I'll still be just one of the boys
So, I'm starting back home tonight

Your hair has turned to silver
I know you're fading too
Daddy dear old daddy I'm coming back to you
You made my boyhood happy
But, still I longed to roam
I've had my way, now I'll say
I long for you and for home.

Pene...

That's an excellent source of Jimmie's lyrics. It seems to be very carefully edited, not the usual mish-mash of typos, misspellings and poor guesses at the words.

Thanks!

Thank you both! Printed out the whole Jimmie Rodgers opus, surprised at some of the contents. I sing more of his stuff than I realized.

Although I have nothing to add in the way of lyrics and I know this will be thread "spread" it would sure be nice if he were alive today and I could go home to him.
