Went to see Eric Bibb at the Beverley Picture Playhouse last night and I can honestly say it was the best concert that I have ever been to (and beleive you me I've been to 'em all!) - he is the most incredibly talented individual I have ever heard guitar and voice both amazing. it is only a smallish venue but it was crammed pack and he had us all absolutely enthralled. If he is appearing in the UK near you then do not miss him!

A few years back ---in July to be exact---I had the pleasure of seeing him perform in an old Synagogue that was being converted into a cultural center for the town. The down is in the Berkshires in Mass. (USA)

It was sweltering. He wore his trademark hat. Through all the heat he have a stellar performance. A performance that the audience did not want to see end.

Afterwards he still had the energy and the time to spend with me for an interview that could by aired on the program 9TRADITIONS) I co-host on WFDU 89.1 FM Teaneck, NJ (www.wfdu.fm).

From blues to Gospel he is really an electric presence on stage.

I love this man's music and would love to see him in person.I also like his taste in Guitars. I bought his first album just from the cover shot of his L OO Gibson.. (I think it was a Blues-king?). THanks for bringing his name up, Yours Guy

Eric was a guest on my radio program last summer when he was in Montreal to play in the acoustic blues series at the Montreal Jazz Festival. In addition to being a great performer, he's also a genuinely nice guy.

I suugested him for this year's Champlain Valley Folk Festival in Burlinton, VT. The festival is August 4-6 and Eric plays there on August 4-5.

This coming Thursday morning, I'll be premiering Eric's brand new CD on Folk Roots/Folk Branches.
