Subject: RE: Coope, Boyes & Simpson From: Susan A-R Date: 14 Jun 00 - 10:46 PM Do they ever get to the states? I have heard a few of their songs, and like what I have heard a Lot. I'd figure out a way to get to a New England/Montreal performance, or to get them here in VT if they were in the areaa. Then again YIPEE!! Just looked at the web site, and they will be performing in my home town on Nov. 3. I'll be there!! Susan A-R |
Subject: RE: Coope, Boyes & Simpson From: KathWestra Date: 15 Jun 00 - 11:53 AM I am insanely jealous of all you Vermonters. Actually, maybe I can make a pilgrimage the weekend of Nov. 3rd.... Does anybody know anything about the musicians they're sharing the bill with? C-B-S are extraordinary singers, worth hearing if you possibly can. I have all their CDs (available from Camsco, where I bought them), and there's not a bad one in the lot -- though my personal favorite is "Funny Old World." If you don't know of this group, you're in for a treat when you hear them! |

Subject: RE: Coope, Boyes & Simpson From: KathWestra Date: 09 Sep 02 - 03:15 PM Delphinium -- the Folklore Society doesn't do advance tickets or take reservations for its concerts, so you'll just need to get there about 30 minutes before the show to be sure of a seat. Doors for all FSGW events open about half an hour before the concert start time, and except in VERY rare instances when we sell advance tickets, it's general admission, first-come, first-served. If you haven't been to the Glen Echo Town Hall before, parking is very limited. If you don't get a spot in the very small lot, you need to park on one of the side streets nearby. Kathy |
