Subject: TerriM is no more From: Morticia Date: 15 Jun 00 - 04:26 PM My nearest and stupidest wiped the computer today and I have had to re-register...it won't let you have a name it's already used so I have changed to the above. Actually, that's fine as it's my ICQ handle also and those of you who supported my maunderings on a change of name some time ago might remember I fancied a change. So since I've had my hand forced, here it is :) Please note anyone who sent a personal message recently, it may have been eaten by the great void that is cyber-space. Please send again to new name. Please also note that DestructoMan did not save my contact list for ICQ, so if you see me hanging about, please come and say hello so I can have friends again. Many thanks Morticia aka TerriM |

Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Jon Freeman Date: 15 Jun 00 - 04:38 PM Morticia, please read the FAQ. It would have been possible to have re-registered (reset your cookie) and you have just committed one of the few Mudcat crimes! If you ever have registration problems, please ask for assistance in the Help forum. Jon |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Morticia Date: 15 Jun 00 - 04:52 PM And that's my wrist properly smacked! Didn't know I'd become criminalised just by changing my name....is there a price on my head or should I just get out of town before sunset? |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: MMario Date: 15 Jun 00 - 05:06 PM Changing the name isn't the crime, it's actually re-registering that is the crime....evidently they cannot remove the old accounts, so if people don't seek assistance the backlog of "dead" acconts will grow larger and larger and larger...You can CHANGE your name as long as you keep the same account - and don't mind that the info on the resource page may not keep up with your name changes. Also - the preference has been stated that if using multiple computers you use the same account on all of them, or come in as a guest....resetting cookie should do it for most cases. |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: katlaughing Date: 15 Jun 00 - 05:13 PM Sheesh! Almost stopped ma' heart, dralin'...til I saw who started the thread! TerriMorticia...still the ole sweetie, either way....go easy now, fellahs...she didn't know any better... luvyakatwhoneverknowsforsurewhosheis |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Peter T. Date: 15 Jun 00 - 05:24 PM If you reregister from scratch using the same name, are you a criminal too (or three?). I have done that a couple of times when nothing else seemed to work -- I have had endless cookie trouble. I am of course happy to share a cell with anyone named Morticia, should it come to that..... yours, Peter T. |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Jon Freeman Date: 15 Jun 00 - 05:38 PM Morticia, just carry on posting - you are still loved! PeterT only one person can have a particular username although it is quite possible to have that one account (it comes down to the cookie being set) on more than one computer/ for using diferent browsers on the same computer. As an example, I am only registered once with Mudcat but I have 3 Mudcat cookies on my computer - Windows/IE, Windows/Netscape and Linux/Netscape. Jon |

Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: GUEST,Liz the Squeak Date: 15 Jun 00 - 05:56 PM So can I re register as FruitBat then? Cos I ain't getting anywhere with my cookie hunt...... LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: sophocleese Date: 15 Jun 00 - 05:56 PM Personally I'm suspicious. I want proof that this "Morticia" is actually TerriM. A living breathing TeriM at that, not some stinking, breathless, grungy zombie lurking here until she can find enough information to kill off as many folk singers and players as she wants to. I will be closing the windows tight tonight, and double checking all locks and basement entrances. |

Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: GUEST,Liz the Squeak Date: 15 Jun 00 - 06:23 PM Gees woman, you know how to scare people, could you get your hairy butt off my windowsill now please? How many times have I told you about smoking those things..... Here's a little quiz to find out if she is the real TerriM - just ask her what her tatoos are....... I know, and I can spill when ever I get the right incentive..... And I know WHERE too!! LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: simon-pierre Date: 15 Jun 00 - 06:28 PM Could someone tell me why it is impossible to delete «dead» usernames? Would it be possible to delete it by the sole user of it? I'm afraid to think about that cemetery... |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: sophocleese Date: 15 Jun 00 - 06:29 PM Okay Morticia (the alleged TerriM) what are your tatoos and where are they?
Do we really want to know? |

Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Irish sergeant Date: 15 Jun 00 - 06:31 PM Me thinks the plot thickens or is that sickens? Is the lovely and dark visaged Morticia really our old friend TerriM, or is she an insiduous agent bent on our destruction? Stay tuned to this thread for the answer. When we'll hear HArdiman say "Don't Shoot! I'm only the fiddle Player!" Either way, welcome back Morticia!! Neil (AKA Irish Sergeant.) |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Mrrzy Date: 15 Jun 00 - 06:34 PM I too must admit to HUGE relief that this wasn't another Someone Really POed Someone I Really Like ones! And I am flattered that you chose Morticia... wherever the tattoos are, and of what. Just tell me if they move when you flex your, um, when you flex anything? |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Jon Freeman Date: 15 Jun 00 - 06:34 PM SP, I would guess that MC is built using a relational database and uses one table for user details and another for member details. To delete the member would involve deleting all the members posts or reassigning them to another name. Jon |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Jon Freeman Date: 15 Jun 00 - 06:38 PM Opps should have read one for member details and one for the posts to threads Jon |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Liz the Squeak Date: 15 Jun 00 - 06:46 PM I'M BACK, WHOOPEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! No more having to remember who I am!!!! And yes, they do move when she flexes her.......! LTS who leaves Fruitbat for someone else to play with. Thanks Pene, much relieved!!

Start on the bikini line and let me know how you get on..... although judging by the ground wasp story, you might already know! Love LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Morticia Date: 15 Jun 00 - 07:20 PM Hi there Uncs, how the american side of the family? I am unsure I welcome this unseemly curiosity re my tatoo's and the putative flexing thereof! I could sing you my notorious parody on Danny Boy Oh, Damn it all, the pipes, the pipes are frozen See, it is me, who else would have such excrutiatingly poor taste? |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: sophocleese Date: 15 Jun 00 - 07:31 PM All right I give in it is you? Morticia darlin' can I have the rest of those lyrics? My taste is as bad as yours. |

Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Mooh Date: 15 Jun 00 - 08:02 PM I humbly propose a cyber-funeral for TerriM. A cyber-memorial service, perhaps. Who's gonna do the cyber-embalmimg, or the cyber-headstone? Who's bringing cookies to the cyber-wake? Oh, hold on, cookies are what started this trouble. A cyber-minister. Cyber-undertaker and a cyber-hearse. And a cyber-hired gun. My brain hurts now. Mooh. |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: JenEllen Date: 15 Jun 00 - 08:10 PM TerrM is no more? Whaddid she do, choke on a pretzel? Serves her right! Welcome then, Morticia...and doll face, you've GOT to tell me about the tatoos! :) Jen |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Peter K (Fionn) Date: 15 Jun 00 - 08:20 PM There's something useful in every thread. I've just learned that Mudcat works on Linux. Thanks TerriM/Morticia, thanks Jon. |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Jon Freeman Date: 15 Jun 00 - 08:30 PM Fionn, I think that Max designed this site with broswer compatibility in mind - ie no need for specific Browsers, Computers, Operating systems, etc. The only bit on my web space, that is used by Mudcatters unortunately does make these type of demands (not my choice - just Hearme sets the rules and it works orthose who can get there) but I feel a lot of webpage designers should remember simplicity and compatibility before they put there pages up. Jon |
Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Mark Cohen Date: 15 Jun 00 - 10:49 PM Not just webpage designers, Jon...you've just coined a new Golden Rule. Mark |

Subject: RE: BS: TerriM is no more From: Jon Freeman Date: 16 Jun 00 - 07:00 PM Lindamat, please don't take this as a moan but have a read of the FAQ?. As both Mark and you are members, you could have used your personal pages for your message - like I said, this is not a moan, I'm just trying to make sure that you are aware of some of the other features in Mudcat.
