oooops, I see you wrote Colorado. First time through I read only "Rockies". There is an old time fiddle festival in Idaho, and there are other smaller ones around the Rocky Mountain states. type Colorado into the search the forum box and I am sure it will come up. I remember reading it, too. I think LEJ or Rex posted something about it.

I think you might mean the fiddle contest/festival in Weiser? Check out Alice's suggestion about RMF. Last year the campers played at the Irish festival in Colorado. That could also be what you're looking for.
