Wyo - try unchecking the box that says "Embed text chat" That seems to sometimes help me.

Jon - it's possible that it's been coincidence. There have been two times (the only two I've tried) that I've left it checked, hit the button, and waited a full five minutes before giving up and closing the gray box that came up. When I uncheck the box, it comes up connected within thirty seconds or so. Not what you'd call rigorous testing, but 100% accurate so far. (I like the text chat un-embedded so I can resize to be much larger)
