Last night I was listening to Let the Good Times Roll, the blues show that preceeds Rick Fieldings show on CIUT. They were focusing on the upcoming Harbourfront Blues and Barbecue festival.

I was thrilled to hear that one of my favourite musicians, Taj Mahal, will be playing with Keb Mo. I was devastated to hear that it will be on July 7th as I will be out of town. However I thought I would share this on the 'Cat as I know there are many fans of these two here. Their show is the only one that is charging admission, $30 (Cdn)

The free line up for the rest of the weekend is very exciting. Swing Soniq, a Gypsy jazz trio from Winnipeg featuring Greg Leskiw, Formerly of The Guess Who, Ellen McIlwaine are a two of the performers on Saturday. Sunday features an acoustic performance by Kevin Breitt, the brilliant Toronto guitarist. I saw him playing electric with Blues Harpist extrordinaire Carlos del Junco and was blown away.

There are several other major blues performers scheduled. I wish I had a link to a site giveing the complete lineup, perhaps someone can help.
